- Peer Perspective: Kevin Halliburton, AIA is a former firm owner and veteran architect, with numerous design awards for his own architecture. Like you, he knows how to read, frame and illustrate the built environment with clarity.
- Programming: Programming prior to design is critical to producing great architecture; it is also crucial to our process. We conduct staff interviews, with intelligent questions, to capture the story of your project ahead of the shoot. Once the narrative is clear and approved, we craft images that support that narrative. If you would like to free up your staff and let us complete an article or award application for you, we can do that too.
- Pricing: We offer tiered pricing to give you maximum value out of each image, based on how often our experience indicates they will be used. Our pricing model is one of the many ways that Kevin's experience as a practicing architect creates exceptional value.
- Developing: We don't "take pictures" when we are on site; we collect the digital information we need to "develop images," in post processing that fully illustrate the space. That work, as well as general retouching to correct minor imperfections, is essential, and included, in the licensing cost of every image.
- Retouching: Beyond developing, Kevin earned his Adobe Certified Expert status in Photoshop over a decade ago, and has continued to push the envelope of what is possible. Why is that important?
Because the truth is, we plan and prepare to produce excellence results, in camera, every time, but when things go wrong, and they sometimes will, we solve the problem as quickly and economically as possible.
For example, we once traveled several hours to photograph a football stadium at sunset, but the stadium lights failed to come on as planned. The problem could not be solved on site, in our brief golden hour time frame, so we turned them on in post processing and saved the client a lot of money on a costly re-shoot. On other occasions, extensive retouching is part of the plan from the beginning. We have perfected the art of retouching so you don't have to wait for the grass to turn green, or to even be planted for that matter, before you can get the images you need for a Request for Qualifications or a marketing campaign featuring your current work. Of course it is always better to let the landscaping mature, and get as much right in camera as possible, but not at exorbitant expense, costly delay or unnecessary complication.
